“Die Magie der Fotografie oder das Geheimnis herausragender Bilder” by Martin Zurmühle was awarded: Silver in category “Fotolehrbücher”. Martin developed a new theory to understand the secrets of outstandig photographs. CAPTAINS OF INDUSTRY HONOR SWISS PHOTOGRAPHER HEINZ BAUMANN AT 4TH ANNUAL PHOTOGRAPHY MASTERS CUP
LONDON (May 31th, 2010) – Professional photographer Heinz Baumann of Switzerland was presented with the 4th Annual Photography Masters Cup Honorable Mention in the category of Still Life at a prestigious Nomination & Winners Photo Show attended by over 40,000 online viewers who logged on live from 154 countries to see the climax of the industry’s most important event for color photography.
The awards international Jury included captains of the industry ranging from Christie’s in New York, National Geographic Channel, Fox Broadcasting Company, Amsterdam Worldwide, Kodak USA to Esquire in London who honored Color Masters with 235 coveted title awards in 31 categories. The judges reviewed thousands of images submitted from every corner of the globe online for eight weeks before making their final nominations and Baumann’s “Mystery Writer”, an exceptional image entered in the Still Life category, received a high percentage of votes overall.
“The Masters Cup celebrates photographers who operate at the highest levels of their craft,” said Basil O’Brien, the awards Creative Director. “Heinz Baumann’s work represents contemporary color photography at its finest, and we’re pleased to present him with the Honorable Mention.”

ABOUT Winner:
Heinz Baumann was born 1955 in Switzerland. After his studies in philosophy, psychology and fine art, which he finished with a doctorate, he started his career as a photographer. Since 1995 he has worked in his own studio in Zurich, Switzerland, specializing in commercial and fine art photography. Heinz Baumann has received numerous international awards for his work, including: Graphis Photography Annual, International Photography Awards, Prix de la Photographie Paris, Photography Master Cup. As a still life and fine art photographer I like to explore a broad range of photographic subject matter. I especially try to create a strong visual statement in my work in order to take it beyond the reality and express a personal vision.

PHOTOGRAPHY MASTERS CUP HONORS PHOTOGRAPHER HEINZ BAUMANN FROM SWITZERLAND

LONDON 25.05.2009 – Professional photographer HEINZ BAUMANN (Switzerland) was presented with the 3rd Annual Photography Masters Cup First Place – OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT in the category of STILL LIFE for the winning entry, The Secrets of Books III and 2nd Place – MERIT OF EXCELLENCE of the Photographer of the Year Award at a prestigious live online Winners and Nomination Ceremony presented by International Color Awards to recognize excellence in color photography.
Thousands of images were received from ninety-two countries. The nominated photographers were selected by a who’s who Judging Panel from the international photography community, including Christie’s (New York), National Geographic (Washington) and Fox Broadcasting Company (Los Angeles). The Panel reviewed the images online over an eight week period and Baumann’s The Secrets of Books III, an exceptional image entered in the Still Life category, received the highest percentage of votes overall.
