“Switzerland and the United States of America do have a similiar, but dangerous tradition of liberal access to weapons. And the rifle lobby is strong in both countries, preventing stricter laws on weapons and reducing thereby security for all.” M. Jud: History of Switzerland, 2004.

‘One Eyeland Book’, the world’s finest collection of creative images shot by the finest international photographers, officially made its world premiere on 29 July 2011. The Book was launched by legendary Indian film maker Mr. Mani Ratnam at the Seasons Theater in Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai. Speaking on the eve of the launch says Founder-Editor of One Eyeland, and India’s most award winning advertising photographer, Sharad Haksar, “Professional photographers from across the world have been waiting for the launch of the One Eyeland Book. We are really glad that we’ve been able to bring out a fabulous collection in record time.”
For the record, www.oneeyeland.com is the most renowned virtual community for creative lensmen. Born in India in 2009 as an online gallery showcasing conceptual pictures, One Eyeland, has within 2 years, notched up an Alexa ranking of 48,592, which is way higher than several leading industry portals like PDNOnline, Artlimited & Luerzers Archive. As on date, www.oneeyeland.com has 30,000 plus registered members from all over the world with 1100 featured photographers, over 42,000 submitted photos and 9571 selected images!
Adds Sharad, “Getting an image into the One Eyeland gallery is a feat by itself as our jury is famous for being very, very picky. Only 1 in 5 submitted images make the cut. The quality of pictures that we showcase has been the No.1 reason for our growing popularity. Emboldened by the success of our site, we decided to bring out a Book that will carry the creamiest and most imaginative work from One Eyeland. Putting together the Book was a mighty challenge as we had to filter down 41,000 images to 179 outstanding pieces. But when I now leaf through the book, I feel every minute of our painstaking 4-month effort was totally worth it.” One Eyeland Book will be shipped to the hottest ad agencies, art buyers, art directors and creative directors across the globe. – See more:
